Secret Documents: How Israel destroyed a nuclear reactor in Syria

The Israeli military in 2007 destroyed a secret nuclear reactor under construction in Syria. The Israeli Defense Army declassified documents about the operation and shared them in its Twitter account.

In 2007, the Israeli Air Force conducted an operation “Non -standard approach” to destroy the nuclear reactor. According to published documents, the military learned about the facility 5 years before the blow on it. Syria has tried to develop a secret strategic project since 2002.

In 2009, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) conducted an investigation in the place where the Israeli Air Force struck. It showed the presence of uranium and graphite. Experts came to the conclusion that the place of attack in Syria was a secretly built nuclear reactor.
