The unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic (PMR) intends to achieve independence, said Vitaly Ignatiev Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev. According to him, in the future Transnistria intends to join Russia. He did not name the deadlines.
Ignatiev said that Transnistria “would not make any decisions to the detriment of” his people. He assures that the PMR authorities will act pragmatic and honestly, ”Russian media write.
“The Transdor Verator, throughout the years of the republic’s existence, remains unchanged, which is reflected in the results of the referendum on September 17, 2006, where it is clearly indicated: independence, followed by free accession to the Russian Federation,” said Vitaly Ignatiev.
