Sholts admitted that he was afraid of confrontation with Russia

Germany does not send tanks to Ukraine, as it is afraid of the escalation of the conflict between Russia and NATO, said the Chancellor of Germany Olaf Sholts to The Times.

“This is a very dangerous war. We support Ukraine,” he said. “We do it in such a way as not to bring the situation to the state of the war between Russia and NATO, because it would be a disaster.”

According to Sholts, Germany “really does a lot” to help Ukraine.

“We put the Ukrainians a huge mass of very effective weapons,” he said.
