Sholts: Energy Crisis can last years

“Today we are concerned about the safety of our energy supply. It will last several weeks, months and years.” This opinion was expressed by German Chancellor Olaf Sholts, Ukrinform reports.

The Government of Germany, according to him, has already made many decisions that should help the state prepare for a deficit, in particular, gas.

“But in the long run it is said to” become independent of the import of fossil fuel, “the Chancellor noted.

He focused on the importance of expanding renewable energy sources and added that for this purpose several laws were adopted this week.

“This is a pace that has not previously been in Germany, and they are necessary. And at such a speed we will also be able to become climatically neutral, economically strong, industrially developed by the country,” Scholz promised.
