German Chancellor Olaf Sholts during the Crimean Platform summit said that Western countries never recognize the results of the “referenda” on the accession of regions to Russia conducted in Ukraine.
“We condemn attempts to force the part of the Ukrainian territory. Our message is clear: all fictitious referenda or other attempts to change the state or parts of the Ukrainian territory are never recognized,” said Scholz.
