Prochrevsky RT channel will open its branch in Africa, writes Bloomberg.
According to the publication, Russia seeks to enlist the support of the Black Continent, which is mainly refrained from criticism of the Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine.
Bloomberg’s request to RT replied that we are talking about the opening of the English -language office of the television channel in the center of South Africa. He will be headed by the local TV presenter Slier, who previously led the Middle East department RT.
Before the war, RT were going to open in the capital of Kenya Nairobi. On February 10, the channel posted on its website an announcement of the opening of the office and the search for employees. According to Bloomberg, the current RT plans are probably a continuation of the pre -war ones. They did not answer the request of the publication about plans for Kenya in RT.
