In Kazakhstan, two terrorist attacks were prevented: the demolition of the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yasavi in Turkestan and an armed attack in Astana. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the KNB of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ruslan Seymembaev at the 40th meeting of the Council of the SCO SCO.
According to Seymembaev, in Kazakhstan, an increased terrorist danger is stably preserved.
“at least two terrorist attacks are prevented annually. For example, only this year, at an early stage of preparation, an attempt to undermine a homemade explosive device in the Mausoleum of Khoja Ahmed Yassaui in Turkestan, as well as an attempt to attack in places of mass accumulation of people in Astana” ,- said Seymembaev, whose words are given by Kazakhstani media.
The deputy head of the KNB noted that the information entering the department allows us to conclude that the formation of terrorist threats for the SCO member states occurs under the influence of a number of dominant factors, and one of the key remains of the terrorist potential in Afghanistan remains.
“This country remains the center of attraction for international terrorist groups. As a result, more than 50 terrorist attacks claimed the lives of more than 350 people, over 700 were injured,” he issued.
