Son of Berdimuhamedov became a candidate for election of President of Turkmenistan

Son President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov became a candidate for the presidential elections, reports Sputnik near abroad.

40-year-old Serdar Berdimuhamedov holds the post-premier of the country.

In accordance with the country’s election code, the right to nominate candidates belongs to political parties and groups of citizens. In the latter case, it is necessary to collect a minimum of ten thousand signatures of voters.

Previously, the current president of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that he wanted to give the way to public administration to young leaders. CEC appointed extraordinary elections on March 12.
