Institute “Open Society” (Soros Foundation) after more than 25 years of work in Tajikistan announced the decision to close its local branch – Assistance Fund in Tajikistan, the statement that was widespread on the website of the Foundation.
The statement notes that this is “the result of large -scale transformations, transformations, begun in 2021 to revise the priorities of their activities and restructuring their more than 20 semi -autonomous national funds around the world using a new regional approach”.
It is noted that in this regard, the Department of the International Organization of the Open Society Institute – the Assistance Fund in Tajikistan stops receiving applications and requests for grant projects. Payments on payments within the framework of current grants will be fulfilled in a timely manner.
