Source: UEFA will postpone Final Champions League from Istanbul

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) decided to postpone the Final Champions League season-2020/2021 from Istanbul, said Italian journalist Nikolo Skira on Twitter, referring to its sources.

According to his information, the decisive match of the tournament can pass in London or Lisbon. The final decision will be announced in the near future.

Earlier, the Football Association of England began negotiations with UEFA on the transfer of the Champions League finale from Istanbul, since the Government of the UK included Turkey in the “Red List” of travel countries due to the situation with coronavirus. UEFA can offer Turkey’s authorities to hold the final season-2022/2023 instead of Munich.

The decisive match of the tournament was scheduled for May 29 at the Ataturk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul. In the Champions League final, London “Chelsea” and “Manchester City” will meet.
