The Falcon 9 missile on Saturday launched an orbit with the Arabsat Badr-8 telecommunications satellite, the SPACEX media developer said.
The launch was carried out from the 40th starting complex on the basis of American space forces at Cape Canaveral in Florida.
The satellite is designed to ensure communication in Europe, in the Middle East, in Africa and Central Asia. It is also equipped with Airbus Teleo module to ensure optical connection at gigabit speeds.
The mass of the satellite is 4.5 tons.
