The State Duma is ready to maximally start the process of ratifying agreements signed on Monday by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the heads of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics after recognizing their sovereignty. This was announced by the head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky, TASS reports.
He stressed that the recognition of Independence “DNR” and “LNR” was the only possible step by Russia in conditions of exacerbation there.
“Recognition of Independence of the DNR and LNR is the only possible step by Russia in the conditions of radical exacerbation in the Donbas, unaware of Kiev to carry out Minsk agreements and aimed at the Ukrainian authorities for a military solution of the conflict.
