Statues on Easter Island were warmed up

During a natural fire on the island of Easter, part of the famous statues-Moai suffered. Some of them cannot be restored, BBC reports with reference to local authorities.

Due to the fire that broke out on October 3 on Strict in the Pacific Ocean, about 60 hectares of vegetation burned out. The territory around the volcano early Raraku suffered most of all. In this volcano there are quarries, where the inhabitants of the island cut down the famous idols. The place is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Service.
