SUD in Argentina suspended decree on “labor reform” of government of Mile

The Argentina court temporarily suspended the bill on the “labor reform” adopted by the Government of President Havier Mile.

As local media write, the decision on the suspension was made by the National Court of Argentina’s Labor Disputes at the request of the Universal Confederation of Labor (CGT).

Labor reform, also known as a decree on “necessity and urgency”, entails many decisions that directly affect employees, including a decrease in pension contributions, compensation and fines arising upon dismissal.

The reform that provoked large -scale protests in the country, including the differences between the ruling and opposition parties.

The Universal Confederation of Argentina’s Labor outlined on January 24, 2024, the strike was carried out in protest against the reforms carried out by the new authorities.
