Sweden will discuss with Turkey and Finland entry into NATO

The Swedish government invited Turkey and Finland to hold a high level. Stockholm wants to discuss the creation of a joint mechanism for monitoring compliance with the agreement, which was reached when applying for accession to NATO. This was reported by the newspaper Aftonbladet.

The meeting may take place on August 26. “This is the first meeting in accordance with the agreement that, as we hope, will be implemented,” said Selasin Rende, deputy director of the Turkish Foreign Ministry of the Turkish.

She has not yet revealed the possible composition of the Turkish delegation. The publication shared that the invitation was sent to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Sedat ONALO and adviser to President Erdogan for political issues Ibrahim Kalyn.

Earlier, Ibrahim Kalyn was the main negotiator from the Turkish side when developing an agreement reached with Sweden and Finland during the NATO summit.
