Han Kuang, considered the most important for the military island, started in Taiwan, reports Nikkei.
During the maneuvers that will last a week, the local military will work out a script with a potential attack of the forces of mainland China. The command involves all kinds of troops in the exercises – land, air and sea, notes the publication. It is expected that on Tuesday the head of the Taiwanese administration, Tsai Inven, will go aboard the ship, from which it will observe the actions of another 20 ships and several fighters at the naval base in the SUAO area in the southeast of the island.
The publication recalls that the exercises are held against the backdrop of information that has appeared on the preparation of the visit of the speaker of the US House Nancy Pelosi on Taiwan.
