Texas said an emergency mode due to forest fires

The American state governor Texas Greg Ebbot announced the introduction of a state of emergency because of the raging forest fires in the region.

The fire covered an area of about 240 thousand acres.

In the city of Panhandl, almost 5 thousand inhabitants were evacuated in the northwestern part of the state.

According to the authorities, the rapid spread of fire is caused by a strong wind speed from 64 to 96 kilometers per hour.

Movement on many highways is blocked due to smoke that worsens visibility.

Forest fires in Texas lasted since February 26.
