“This is a national rebellion, madness”: Canada does not cope with protests

Law enforcers of the Canadian capital Ottawa, where the protests against antique restrictions continue for more than a week, lacking forces to put an end to demonstrations. This was stated by the head of the police Peter Slaols on the air CBC channel, demanded to send reinforcements to the city.

According to the TV channel, approximately 500 service officers, who did not have a weekend for almost two weeks were brought to settle the situation. His hundreds of other representatives of Canada law enforcement officers were transferred to help.

Sloles recognized the errors allowed by the police when responding to a dangerous situation and added that he did not know when the demonstrations could end. The Chairman of the Council of the Moscow Police Service Diane Dins noted that the protesters pose a threat to Canadian democracy: “What we observe is not just a problem of the city of Ottawa. This is a national rebellion. This is madness,” writes “Russian newspaper”.
