Activists and members of the Radical Georgian Public Organization “Alt-Info” hold a mass action in Tbilisi at the main office of the ruling party “Georgian Dream”, they protest against the members of the week of the LGBT community.
Interfax transmits, the participants of the action burned the flag of the LGBT community, telling reporters that the West requires Georgia to recognize the LGBT community and “the authorities dutifully fulfill this requirement.”
One of the participants – a middle -aged man made a homophobic statement, saying that “does not want to live in such a sinful country anymore,” after which he doused himself with gasoline and set fire to. Then he climbed into the fountain near the parliament and waited for the ambulance. He was currently taken away by doctors, writes the Information “News Georgia”.
Despite the fact that all the events of the “Pride Week” – film screenings, lectures, discussions, musical evenings, take place in private, closed rooms, Alt -info platform all week threatened to disrupt these events.
Alt-info organization was created more than a year ago. It promotes anti -wrapping views and requires the authorities to declare the neutrality of Georgia. Alt-Info opposes both the current authorities of Georgia and the entire Georgian opposition, which states that this organization is funded from Russia.
