Tika implements projects in field of tourism in Paraguay

The Turkish Coordination and Cooperation Agency (Tika) plans to create an office of tourist information and the sale of handmade products in Paraguay, in the area of ​​the ruins of the Jesuit mission, which is the only historical property of the country, which has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

According to Tika, the opening ceremony of the project was attended by the Minister of Tourism Paraguay Sofia Montel de Afra and Turkish Ambassador to Asunsion Serhat Aksen.

Montel de Afra, who spoke at the event, said that the project is very important for Paraguay.

“This is an important place for our society. In this office, local and foreign tourists can buy souvenirs and at the same time learn about the remarkable attractions of the region. We want to thank the respected ambassador, Tika and Turkey for their efforts in the implementation of this idea,” – She said.

The Turkish ambassador, in turn, recalled that Tika to this day has implemented many projects in Paraguay, including in the fields of education and healthcare. “This project is implemented in the field of tourism. Turkey and Paraguay intend to continue to implement many projects in the field of tourism,” he said.
