During the meeting of the President of Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev with the chairman of the board of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, the chairman of the Class Group supervisory board by the Katrina class-Mulkhoizer discussed the prospects for further deepening the economic cooperation of the parties, the press service of the Kazakh leader said.
Germany is a strategic partner of Kazakhstan in the European Union. Positive trends in the development of trade and economic relations have been noted, the interest of German business is growing to expand its presence in Kazakhstan, ”Tokaev said.
The president emphasized that last year direct German investment in Kazakhstan increased by 64 percent, reaching a record mark of $ 770 million.
Particular attention at the meeting was paid to cooperation in the agricultural industry. In this vein, Tokaev recalled his proposal to create a regional center of sustainable farming. In his opinion, this center will contribute to the more complete use of the country’s agricultural potential, the introduction of innovative technologies and their commercialization.
In addition, Tokaev praised the contribution of the Class assembly plant to the development of the agrarian potential of Kazakhstan.
