Russia’s sales representative in Azerbaijan Ruslan Mirsayaapov spoke about the prospects for Russian-Azerbaijani cooperation in 2022.
“We expect that as quarantine restrictions weaken in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the XI Azerbaijani-Russian Interregional Forum will be held,” Torgpred said. “The commercial representation of Russia will provide regional delegations with all the necessary support in organizing their participation in the forum.”
Ruslan Mirsayapov acknowledged that, according to the results of the nine months of 2021, the trade turnover between Russia and Azerbaijan approached the mark of $ 2.3 billion, which not only exceeds the last year’s performance, but also by $ 100 million more than in Dopandemin, 2019 year.
In his opinion, all conditions have been created for the development of business activity between Russia and Azerbaijan. Thus, a “single window” of support for Russian-Azerbaijani foreign trade cooperation is formed in Baku. Commercial Representative Office of Russia and the Representation of the Russian Export Center (United Export Support Group), the Representation of the Federal Customs Service is located in a single office building, which is convenient for Russian exporters and their Azerbaijani partners. In the very near future, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia will begin to work in Azerbaijan.
