Trial of Armenian militants began in Baku

In the administrative building of Yasamal district court chaired by Judge, Baku Military Court Elbeya Allahverdiyev held the trial on criminal case against Armenian militants Mkrtchyan Ludwik Mkrtichevich and Khosrovyan Alyosha Aramaisovich that during the first Karabakh war tortured Azerbaijani prisoners and committed other grave crimes.

According to HaqQin.az, the indictment will be announced in the process.

Ludwick Mkrtychyan and Alese Hosrovian charged under articles 113 (torture), 115.2 (violation of laws and customs of war), 279.1 (the creation of armed formations or groups not provided for by the legislation), 318.2 (illegal crossing of the state border of Azerbaijan) and other articles of the Criminal Code Azerbaijan, by the court decision they are detained.

The indictment in the case was approved on May 20, 2021, and the case was aimed at consideration in the Baku Military Court.

Currently, taking comprehensive steps to identify and bring to justice the other persons responsible.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Azerbaijan previously stated that in accordance with the instructions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev guilty of war crimes and crimes against peace and humanity will be identified and brought to justice, regardless of the time of committing criminal acts.
