Turkey against right of veto in UN Security Council

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Chavushoglu emphasized that Ankara advocates the abolition of veto law in the UN Security Council.

According to Chavushoglu, more and more politicians say that “the world is more than five permanent members of the UN Security Council.”

“I am convinced that the current session of the UN General Assembly has proved that the appeal of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to reform the organization supports more and more countries. The replacement of the veto can be introduced by a majority vote. The main thing should be to ensure maximum coverage and justice”, – said the Foreign Minister of Turkey.
