Turkey rents from 10 countries

Turkey began negotiations on the rental of agricultural land in 10 countries of Latin America and Africa, as well as Ukraine. This is done to overcome the food crisis experienced throughout the world due to the pandemic of coronavirus and the war of Russia against Ukraine. This was reported by the newspaper Türkiye.

The Minister of Agriculture of Turkey Vakhit Kirishchi, negotiations ended with an agreement, and contacts with some of them continue.

The publication notes that in connection with the increase in feed prices, recently on the lands that will be rented, emphasis will be placed on the production of fodder plants.

“Turkey satisfies the domestic demand in agricultural products, however, if we are still talking about export, then it is necessary to rent land abroad. Modern products should be exported,” Kirishchi said.
