One of the Key Agricultural products of Turkey – Tea – in the first six months of 2025 entered the shelves of 104 countries of the world, primarily to European countries.
According to data collected by the Anadol agency from the reports of the Association of Exporters of the East Black Sea region of Turkey (DKİb), from January to June of this year, Turkey exported 3 thousand tons of tea, helping 16 million 991 thousand dollars on this.
Over the same period last year, the volume of deliveries amounted to 2 thousand 897 tons, and income – 13 million 909 thousand 313 dollars. The three largest importers of Turkish tea were Belgium, Great Britain and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRSK).
58% of tea was exported from riza
more than half of the Turkish tea exports in the first six months of 2025 fell on the province of Riza.
According to DKİb, 2,155 tons of tea to 23 countries were exported from Riza, which brought an income of 9 million 877 thousand 506 dollars. This is 58% of the total tender export of the country for the same period.
The largest volumes of supplies fell on Belgium, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRK) and the USA. So, tea in the amount of 7 million 744 thousand dollars was exported to Belgium, in TRK – for 718 thousand dollars, and in the USA – for 310 thousand dollars.
The export of Turkish tea as a whole in the first half of the year amounted to 3 thousand tons, which brought the country almost $ 17 million.

Deputy Chairman of the DKİB board Shaban Turgut said “Anadol” that tea remains one of the most important articles of the export of Turkey and the region.
According to him, in the first half of 2025, revenue from the sale of tea abroad showed an encouraging growth. “In comparison with the same period last year, exports in volumetric terms grew by 5%, and in value – by 22%. This confirms the growth of interest in Turkish tea both in traditional markets and in new countries,” he said.
Turgut also emphasized that every year the number of importers of Turkish tea is growing every year. “Our goal is to expand both export geography and product line. We will continue the promotion of Turkish tea, especially in countries with high purchasing power, primarily in Europe. In addition, we intend to strengthen positions on the global market by high -added costs – beam and branded tea,” he added.
Turgut expressed confidence in the further successes of the tea industry. “Thanks to the quality production, an active advertising campaign and a stable export strategy, we are firmly moving towards the achievement of the goals,” he summed up.
