Turkmenistan fully extinguished loans from China to implement gas projects

Turkmenistan fully returned the borrowed funds to China, allocated to the implementation of gas projects, reported by the supervision of the Vice-Prime Minister Shakhov Abdrakhmanov, reports Interfax.

“Currently, these borrowed funds are fully returned, on June 8, 2021, an official notice of the Sinziang branch of the State Bank of China’s Development was obtained,” said the Deputy Prime Minister at the Government meeting last Friday. It quotes the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan”.

Loans were brought to the state concern “Turkmengas” for the construction of the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline and the industrial development of the supergigant on the international classification of the Gazkinysh gas field, the reserves of which are estimated at 27.4 trillion cubic meters of natural gas.

In December 2009, Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline includes three lines (A, B and C). The gas coming from Central Asia is served in 25 provinces and autonomous regions of the PRC, as well as to the Special Administrative District of Hong Kong. Thus, in China, almost 500 million people use blue fuel from Turkmenistan.

In May, the export of Turkmen blue fuel in China since 2009 on the gas pipeline Turkmenistan-China has reached 300 billion cubic meters.
