Azerbaijani judokas successfully started at the European Cup in judo in the Croatian oak tree.
On the first day of the competition, our team won three medals – two gold and bronze. Ismail Ibrahimov (66 kg) defeated two rivals from Israel, Serb, Dutch and Italian and became the winner of the tournament.
Nariman Mirzoev (73 kg) defeated judokas from Germany, Israel, Austria, and in the semifinals and finals also prevailed over opponents from Italy.
Another medal for Azerbaijan was won by Nazir Talybov (60 kg), which became a bronze medalist.
Azerbaijan in the European Cup represent 10 judokas. Competitions will end tomorrow.
