Two helicopters collided near Saratov, reports sources of RIA Novosti and TASS.
“On board each of them there was one pilot, both were catapulted, one, previously, died,” said TASS’s source. The interlocutor also said that, according to preliminary data, the helicopters were military.
According to information, the mayor of Saratov Mikhail Isaev has so far confirmed the information about only one broken helicopter – “Ansate”, which performed the educational flight. According to him, the crew catapulted, one pilot was found alive. TASS in the mayor’s press service also said that only one helicopter had fallen in the city. In a single dispatch service, the agency was informed that when a helicopter fell, one person died and one was injured. The press service of the city hall said that the fallen helicopter belonged to the military base in the village of Sokolovaya.
