Today a ceremony of signing a protocol on intentions between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport was held. The document was signed by the Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev and the Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev.
The main purpose of the protocol signing is to cooperate on digitalization, innovation and issues that will contribute to the development of education for general education institutions.
As part of this collaboration at the first stage, the center of innovation will be created in Sumgait, the Center for Innovation will be created. The purpose of the Center is to identify talented students in the field of mathematics, computer science, robotics, the development of their potential, an increase in the skills of working with information technology, coding skills, as well as the preparation of students to local and international competitions, competitions.
Speaking at the Ceremony Education Minister Emin Amrullayev highly appreciated the signing of the protocol about intentions. The Minister of Education stressed the importance of this initiative initiated by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, from the point of view of identifying and developing skills of talented students, the implementation of innovative educational projects.
The Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev said that according to “National Priorities of Socio-Economic Development: Azerbaijan 2030”, a strong human capital and innovative space, a strong human capital and innovative space should be created in Azerbaijan. According to the minister, it is possible to achieve this only by increasing knowledge in the field of accurate sciences, technologies, information technologies, training specialists in this area.
After the signing ceremony, the ministers got acquainted with the conditions created in the lyceum, met with students and discussed their questions.
