Ukraine and Estonia agreed to start negotiations on bilateral security agreement

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Igor Zhovkva and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia Kyulika Sillast-Elling agreed on the start of negotiations of a two-way security agreement.

According to the press service of the President of Ukraine, at the meeting of Zhovka and Sillast-Elling, the main attention was paid to the issue of providing Ukraine with effective security guarantees, as provided for by a joint declaration of support for Ukraine adopted at the NATO Vilnius summit in July last year.

“The meeting participants discussed the structure of the future bilateral security agreement and its thematic blocs. It was agreed on the speedy start of negotiations on its conclusion,” the message said

Separately, the interlocutors also discussed the implementation of the Ukrainian formula of the world and preparation for the global summit of the world. The Deputy Head of the President’s office focused on the importance of working together on the organization of the event, in particular to attract the largest number of the Global South states to its holding.
