President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that the construction of 2 thousand kilometers of fortifications consisting of 3 lanes began.
In his publication on the social network, Zelensky said that he held a meeting at the headquarters of the Commander -in -Chief and heard reports of the chief of the General Staff of Ukraine Alexander Serbsky and other commanders on the situation on the battlefield.
Having stated that he received information from the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umarov and Minister of Strategic Industry Alexander Kamyshin to meet the needs of the front, Zelensky made the following statements:
“Another important question is fortification. I heard the report of Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on the pace of construction of new defense lines. A three -lane defense line with a length of 2 thousand kilometers is a great goal, but the current pace is good. I hope that the construction will be completed in STRODE “.
