Ukraine signed bilateral security agreement with Italy

President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky met on Saturday in Kyiv with Italy Prime Minister George Melony.

“Our meetings with the head of the government of Italy George Maloni are always informative. An important result of today was the signing of a bilateral security agreement. This document lays a strong basis for a long security partnership between Ukraine and Italy,” Zelensky wrote in telegram.

The Head of State said that they discussed with Melony the further support of Ukraine in the context of the presidency of Italy in G7.

“I thank Italy for the support of Ukraine, including the defense capacity and restoration of our state, and for the continuation of military assistance to Ukraine until the end of 2024,” he added.
