The official investigation of the State Protection Service about the circumstances of the possible illegal crossing of the State Border of the Ex-President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili, ended with a disciplinary punishment of several officials. This was announced by the representative of the department Andrei Demchenko in an interview with the publication “Ukrainian Pravda”.
“On the circumstances of the possible illegal intersection of the State Registration of Saakashvili, the administration of the State Procrase conducted a service investigation. At its time, officials from the leadership of the border unit, the border detachment and the South Regional Administration were removed from the tasks of the position. According to the results of the investigation, a number of officials from these Units and GPSU bodies are attracted to disciplinary responsibility, “said the department representative.
Demchenko stressed that it cannot disclose all the details, since investigation materials contain information with limited access, but he noted that they were sent to the relevant branch of the pre-trial investigation, which opened criminal proceedings on this fact.
