Ukrainian swimmer received Turkish citizenship

The Ukrainian swimmer Alexy after two years of effort received Turkish citizenship.

Now she has become a step closer to her dream – to play for the Turkish national national team.

The athlete moved to Turkey with her father in connection with the outbreak of war between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

They settled in the North-West Turkish province of Edirne.

The girl’s father Atyl Yilmaz went to work in Ukrainian Donetsk, where in 2003 he got married with the former swimmer Julia Yangchevskaya. In 2006, the couple had a daughter, whom she called Alexia.

Alexy began swimming at the insistence of her mother. She has already managed to achieve successful results in this sport.
