As a result of the blows of the Ukrainian military, traffic was interrupted on another strategically important bridge, the operational command of the South Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.
Through the Dnieper in the Kherson region there are only three crossings: Antonovsky Avtonovsky Bridge (Antonovsky Bridge) near Kherson, Antonov Railway Bridge 6 km from it, as well as the Dam of the Kakhovsky reservoir in New Kakhovka – another 70 km.
During the counterattack, the Ukrainian military is trying to disable these bridges in order to cut off the Russian army on the right bank of the Dnieper from supply. On Wednesday, after the next blow, traffic on the Antonovsky bridge was blocked. Now, as the Ukrainian military reported today, there are no movements on the railway bridge.
“The results of fire control of the main transport tracks in the occupied territories indicate that traffic on the railway bridge across the Dnieper River is impossible,” the military statement said.
Russia has not yet commented on these statements of the Ukrainian military.
