UN: From February 24, 4889 civilians died in Ukraine

From February 24 to July 3, more than 10 thousand civilians were injured in Ukraine due to hostilities. In total, 4899 people died, of which 335 are children. This was reported by the Office of the Supreme Commissariat of the UN Human Rights.

According to the UN, most civilians were injured due to artillery and missile strikes, including cassette ammunition (their use is prohibited).

The UN noted that the actual number of victims may be higher. The organization expressed concern in the fact that both sides of the conflict use living shields and place military facilities next to civilians.
