UN Secretary General called for urgent validity in Haiti

The UN Secretary General Antoniu Gutherrish expressed a deep concern for the rapidly worsening situation with safety in Haiti, and called for urgent measures.

The UN press secretary Stefan Duzharrik said that Gutherrish called on the Haiti government and other political players to quickly reach the agreement and promote the political process to restore democratic institutions.

Dyujarrick pointed out the influence of the situation on Haiti on a civilian population.

GUERRISH called for immediate actions, and emphasized that the multinational security mission in Haiti should receive financial support, he said.

Note that on March 2 and 3, armed gangs attacked two prisons located near the capital of Haiti Port-O-Prens and the Krug-de-Book region, and entered into clashes with security forces.

During clashes, about 4 thousand prisoners fled from prisons, 12 people were killed.

The government announced a 72-hour emergency for capturing criminals who escaped from prison, and also introduced a commandant hour at certain hours before Wednesday.
