UN urged to allocate $ 95 million to help Palestinians

The United Nations appealed to allocate $ 95 million to the rescue of the Palestinians over the next three months in Gaza and in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, reports AFP.

The UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Palestinian territories Lynn Hastings stated that the UN currently examines urgent assurances of help, and then evaluate long-term damage. According to her, the appeal is aimed at meeting the “most urgent needs”, such as food, health, medicines, rapid infrastructure repair and monetary assistance.

UN has already allocated $ 22.5 million from other funds to meet the needs.
