“as of the end of January of the current year, a total of 900 schools were temporarily closed, which deprived about 200 thousand children of the right to education,” the commander said.

The statement decisively condemns the attack of armed groups on a school in the capital of Haiti, Port-on-Prens. It is noted, as a result of the incident, about 1000 children were deprived of the possibility of learning.

In UNISEF, they called for an end to put violence on Haiti.

On March 2 and 3, armed gangs attacked two prisons located near the capital of Haiti Port-O-Prens and the Krug-de-Bucky region, and entered into clashes with security forces.

During clashes, about 4 thousand prisoners fled from prisons, 12 people were killed.

The government announced a 72-hour emergency for capturing criminals who escaped from prison, and also introduced a commandant hour at certain hours.

The political crisis in Haiti has continued since 2021, when President Zhovenel Moiz was killed in his own residence.

The residents of Haiti were in a desperate position – the country is covered by violence, there is not enough food, fuel, public services do not work, citizens are deprived of access to medical services.

According to the UN, in 2023 the number of dead and wounded as a result of gang rampers, 4451 killed and 1668 wounded increased significantly. Hundreds of thousands of people were forced to leave the country.
