Every sixth child under the age of 2 years in the north of the Gas sector is faced with serious malnutrition. This is stated in the report of the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF).
It is noted that this corresponds to 15.6 percent of children in the north of the exclus.
According to the report, 3 percent of them need emergency medical care due to exhaustion.
According to a similar study in the city of Rafach in the south of the Gaza, 5 percent of children under the age of 2 years suffer from serious malnutrition.
The report emphasizes the need to ensure humanitarian access to the region, as well as to prevent new rafah shocks.
