Deputy press secretary of the US Foreign Ministry Vedante Patel announced that they had completed the evacuation operation in Sudan.
He noted that during this process they evacuated more than 2 thousand people, 1300 of whom are US citizens.
Speaking at a daily press conference, Patel said:
“The State Department in coordination with the Ministry of Defense and our allies completed the evacuation of more than 2000 people, 1300 of them are citizens of the USA and members of their families. We urge US citizens to refrain from trips to Sudan,” the official said.
The United States organized 3 convoys on land for evacuation from Sudan.
