This was announced at a briefing for journalists in the Pentagon Head of the Central Command of the US Armed Forces General Kenneth Mackenzie, whose operational responsibility zone is primarily in the Middle East.

“I am here today to declare the completion of the conclusion of our troops from Afghanistan and the end of the military operation on the evacuation of American citizens, citizens of other countries, as well as Afghans who were in a vulnerable position,” the TASS reports the words McCenzi.
