Military Russia and the United States only once from the date of the beginning of the war in Ukraine used a special communication line created between countries to prevent conflicts. This was reported by Reuters with reference to the representative of the American administration.
The official said, on the condition of anonymity that the United States initiated one call on the so-called “deconflik” line in order to express its concern due to the actions of the Russian military near the objects of the critical infrastructure of Ukraine. The interlocutor of the agency did not specify the circumstances of the negotiations, noting only that they were not related to the incident with the fall of the rocket in Poland on November 15.
“Deconflik” line created in March 2022, connects the European command of the US Armed Forces and the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation.
