United States transferred B-52 strategic bomber to Europe

The United States transferred four B-52 strategic bomber to Europe. Aircraft attributed to the Minot base in Northern Dakota were sent to the Moron base in Spain.

Before this, two bombers took part in events in honor of the Independence Day of Estonia, held on February 24.

The B-52 bomber, which has been in service with the US Air Force since 1955, is able to carry different types of weapons, including nuclear ones. The plane was repeatedly modified for modern needs. One of the modifications of the B -52 – B -52G – is an absolute record holder for flight range among combat aircraft. It is assumed that these machines will be in service of the United States at least 2044.
