Up to 140 illegal migrants were detained off coast of Tunisia

At the coast of Tunisia in the east of the country, 139 illegal migrants who tried to move to Europe are detained.

This was announced on his page on social networks by the representative of the National Guard of Tunisia Khusameddin al-Dzhebababy.

According to him, Tunisia security forces conduct a special operation to combat illegal migration.

As part of the operation off the coast of cities, Nabil and the monastery in the east of Tunisia on June 17-18 were detained as a whole of 139 illegal immigrants. Of these, 57 citizens of Tunisia, 64 natives of the countries of the region Sahel.

Dzhebababy noted that the prosecutor’s office has already begun investigation of incidents.

In Tunisia, there is an increase in illegal migration, in particular in April, the bodies of 210 illegal migrants were found in the sea off the coast of Tunisia.
