US Ambassador to Ankara Jeff Flake was called to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkish media reports.
The reason for the call of the diplomat in the country’s Foreign Ministry was a provocative statement about the danger of participating in the opposition rally in Istanbul.
“Sater Flake was expressed by our discontent in connection with warnings on the eve of the rally that contained unreasonable statements about those measures that take our security forces at such rallies,” the country’s foreign policy explained.
