US Ambassador: Many are well aware of suffering of Azerbaijani forced immigrants

“The United States provides assistance for the return of Azerbaijani forced immigrants to its homes.” This is stated in the report of the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, widespread on behalf of Ambassador Erla Litzenberger, in connection with the World Refugees.

The United States is the only country in the world that has the greatest humanitarian assistance to people in need, including refugees, victims of conflicts, forced immigrants, stateless persons and migrants. As the ambassador noted, the United States in Azerbaijan invests investments and support the community of forced immigrants.

“For more than ten years, we invested in the community of forced immigrants through English programs, as well as measures for the development of USAID. Since the work on relocation continues, we continue to support this community, and this work is very important. The United States support the right throughout the world All forced immigrants and refugees to voluntarily return to their former residence. Since 1992, the United States helped forced immigrants in Azerbaijan in the amount of more than 125 million dollars of a year and are still committed to support for this community. This targeted assistance includes the construction and repair of schools, Youth Development Programs and the program of studying English, ”the statement said.

According to Litzensberger, the United States also provide humanitarian assistance in clearance in order to strengthen the safety of people and to assist the community of forced immigrants, as well as in their efforts to return their home and safely restore their former life.
