Before the capture of Kabul, representatives of the Taliban promised to allow Americans who are in Afghanistan to get to the airport. This was stated by the chairman of the committee of the headquarters of the US Armed Forces General Mark Milli.
“According to the Taliban State Department, guaranteed a safe way to the airport to American citizens who have a US passport,” cites General Tass.
Mark Milli stated that the Taliban are located on the airport and beyond, but “do not interfere in operations”, which are carried out by the US military.
