The US Congress approved the sale of 96 Apache helicopters. This was announced by the Minister of National Defense of Poland Mariusz Blashchak.
“We received the approval of the US Congress for the sale of 96 Apache helicopters with a radar and weapons. We initiate price negotiations,” wrote the head of the Polish defense department on the social network X.
The Blashcak noted that until the procedures are completed and purchased helicopters are delivered to Poland, the American military will supply Apache helicopters to Poland from their own reserves.
The Polish government decided to purchase Apache helicopters in 2022 as part of steps to strengthen its armed forces against the backdrop of a conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
